Canoeing in Friendship
Lac Leamy, Gatineau, Quebec to Chaudière Falls, Ottawa, Ontario
Join us for a Sacred Journey of Canoeing in Friendship. This is an event of the Ottawa Peace Festival 2019.
DATE/TIME: Sunday, September 8; 9:30 am – 2:30 pm
START: Lac Leamy – northwest shore (behind Reno Depot – follow Rue Atawe to Lac Leamy – Stationnement nord ouest / North West parking lot)
ROUTE: From Lac Leamy to Gatineau River, stopping across from Pointe Gatineau, continuing along the Ottawa River to Richmond Landing. Walk to Chaudière Falls for lunch.
LUNCH: Potluck Lunch at Chaudière Falls
(bring food to share, water, your own bowl and cutlery)
CAR PICK-UP: Return to Lac Leamy by pre-arranged car shuttle or optionally by canoe. Retrieve canoes from Mill Street Brew Pub parking lot.
CANOES: Bring your canoe or contact Pamela for available spot in canoe. Bring your own life jacket and whistle.
