Settle into some good winter viewing
January 12, 2016
On Saturday, January 16, plan to attend a free screening of DamNation—the 2014 documentary about how people in North America are fighting to release rivers big and small from their concrete prisons.
The weekend screening will begin at 7 p.m. in Room 150, Marion Building, 140 Louis Pasteur Private at the University of Ottawa. Share the event notice with your friends on Facebook.
If you missed the December 19 Phil Ochs event at Southminster United Church, you can view a video of the entire event thanks to Equitable Education. If you prefer to see a particular part of this exciting event that blended art and activism, this YouTube site gives you access to individual talks and performances.
And if you haven’t seen and heard Vela’s song, Reconciliation River, make sure to take a listen.
