Feb. 24 court date regarding appeal of OMB decision cancelled

The court appearance by four individuals expecting to file a motion for leave to appeal an Ontario Municipal Board (OMB) decision of Nov. 2015 related to the City of Ottawa’s rezoning of Chaudière and Albert Islands has been cancelled.
A new date has yet to be set.
Court officials advised the appellants on Feb. 22 that it was necessary to postpone the Feb. 24 court date, which had been in place since the fall of 2015. The appellants’ lawyer advised his clients of this development late on Monday, Feb. 22 and is working with officials and the parties involved to set a new date.
