October 31, 2015

Four First Nation Algonquin communities have articulated three demands and are asking for broad support for their vision for Akikodjiwan (sacred waterfall and islands in the Ottawa River). Please respond now to this urgent call for support.

“Endorse our list of demands in order to build pressure on the federal, provincial, municipal governments and corporations, particularly the Windmill Development Group,” the chiefs say in a letter dated Oct. 30. Their call for support is aimed at individuals, groups and organizations.

View the letter and a backgrounder online, and then get busy. Don’t forget to copy your letter or email to Ms. Brenda St. Denis at forestry@wolflakefirstnation.com so the chiefs can track support from across the country.
