Reconciliation River

Singer/Songwriter Vela recently created a music video titled “Reconciliation River”. It merges imagery of the swirling waters and nature of Chaudière Falls and its islands with a powerful message of reconciliation.
The message of the song pushes for reconciliation between settlers and indigenous people, to free the Chaudière Falls from the ring dam that holds them back from flowing at their original force and returning stewardship of Chaudière Falls back to the Indigenous People so that Grandfather William Commanda’s Asinabka Vision for Chaudière Falls and its islands may become a reality.
