Sacredness is present everywhere! Views of elder Albert Dumont.

As more and more people talk about the best way to honour the islands in the Ottawa River, respected elder Albert Dumont adds his views to the debate in this recent blog post.
A positive sign is that Windmill Development Group is currently focusing its attention only on the Gatineau portion of its proposal. In fact, this constitutes the largest part of the mega-project and is not in dispute. The islands in the river and Chaudiere Falls hold spiritual meaning and are the subject of two legal challenges in support of Indigenous title to traditional lands. Let’s preserve and conserve the islands for generations to come!
